Betfred kiosks now open at Arizona casino
In what is a massive step forward for both Betfred and the state of Arizona for the gambling industry, Betway kiosks are now available to customers at the land-based We-Ko-Pa casino.
This is news that has been greeted as a major success in the industry, with the state also believed to be considering approving online gambling.
Over the last two years, a number of US states have made online gambling legal to residents and Arizona is understood to be one of the next.
Betfred ideally positioned
The brand has been strategically forming alliances across the US as the company aims to gain a significant foothold in what is likely to become the most lucrative online gambling market in the world.
This partnership with the We-Ko-Pa casino perfectly positions themselves to become available on the internet in the state should online gambling become legal.
Bryan Bennett, COO of Betfred greeted the news with optimism stating: We are now one step closer to offering Arizona sports bettors a great betting experience with the new self-service kiosks at We-Ko-Pa Casino Resort. We look forward to opening the complete Betfred Sportsbook early next year.”
Meanwhile, general manager of the We-Ko-Pa casino resort echoed a similar delight, commenting: “When designing the We-Ko-Pa Casino Resort, the Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation wanted it to be the place to be for local residents and area visitors interested in the latest-and-greatest gaming options. Adding sports betting further helps us make our beautiful casino the one-stop gaming destination they envisioned.”
OpenBet technology powering retail capabilities
The Betfred kiosks are to be powered by OpenBet’s retail technology – a company that Betfred already have an existing relationship with.
It will allow for the placement of bets in a more efficient manner for the customer, while also offering up to the minute information for odds and markets.
Bennet was particularly supportive of the technology emphasising that it had a number of strengths to provide maximum value for the customer.
“We’re delighted to have opened these betting kiosks and look forward to working alongside OpenBet and the Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation over the coming months to launch our complete sportsbook at the casino,” Bennett concluded.
